This weekend the Swiss Championship will take place in Vaduz.

For Hugo Quaderer, Sportminister of Liechtenstein, it’s a great pleasure that Liechtenstein hosts this important event. “And for the Organizing Committee (OC) Swimming of the LieGames it’s also a crucial test in organizing the swim-competitions.”

Exciting competitions forcasted
The best Swiss swimmers will participate. Some of them will start in the European Championship in Budapest, others try to get the limits for this championship. No doubt, we will have fascinating competitions.
Nine athletes of Liechtenstein will be at the start: Theresa Banzer, Simon Beck, Jasmin Büchel, Niklas Friederici, Reneé Giezendanner, Julia Hassler, Saskia Hoch, Laura Manco und Christoph Meier. The best chance for medals has Julia Hassler. She won the 800m freestyle race at the GSSE in Cyprus 2009.

Busy OC
The OC for this event will be the same as the one for the swimming competitions at the LieGames. These are: Karl Hardegger as Director, Shirley Beck, Mona Kohler, Hilmar Hoch, Franz Senti, Paula Forrer and Andreas Batliner. It’s a very committed OC. Karl Hardegger knows to lead the OC in a very swift and efficient way. And as Hugo Quaderer already said, this event will be also a test competition for them.
