A road cycling competition has already been on the schedule of the first Olympic Games in Athens 1896. Exactly 100 years later Mountainbike has become a discipline of the Olympic Games in Atlanta. In Liechtenstein cycling has been one of the first sport-disciplines and there were also founded some clubs. The cycling federation (Liechtensteinische Radfahrerverband – LRV) has been founded in 1950. Disciplines and Schedule at the LieGames There will be three races: • the road cycling race on Tuesday 31st May • the individual time trial on Thursday 2nd June • the mountainbike race on Friday 3rd June If there are enough registrations, there will be both, races for women and men. Each country may participate with four athletes, the host country may participate with eight athletes.
